Cooperation for the expansion of wind energy on the Baltic Sea on 16. October 16 & 17, 2025 – Stronger together: Ambitious goals require ambitious and trusting regional cooperation. Major current challenges require innovative solutions: Offshore Connect is more than just a conference – it is a lively focal point for industry interests.
Offshore Wind Kommunikation and WindAdvice GmbH are organizing Offshore Connect in Rostock-Warnemünde for the second time. Offshore Connect is made up of two elements:

Recruiting Day on October 16, 2025 at the Neptun shipyard in Rostock-Warnemünde:
In the authentic habitat of the Neptun shipyard, companies from the shipbuilding and offshore wind industry introduce themselves to career starters, old hands and, of course, career changers.
Offshore Connect is exactly the right forum to awaken a fascination for offshore wind and/or enthusiasm for shipbuilding in M-V. The exhibiting companies offer meaningful jobs with prospects and are looking for team players. Offshore Connect starts with the Recruiting Day from 10 am.
Your employees of tomorrow can take part free of charge. Together with regional players, we promote this day locally. Whether in the scene magazine, at vocational schools or the University of Rostock – we make sure that many interested people take part in the Recruiting Day. At the exhibitors’ stands, in discussions with recruiters and by listening to pitches from companies from the maritime and offshore wind industries, Recruiting Day participants can find out more. The following companies and players will be presenting themselves at the Offshore Connect Recruiting Day:
🔹NEPTUN WERFT GmbH & Co. KG
🔹NEPTUN SMULDERS Engineering GmbH
🔹Dipl.-Ing. H. Sitte GmbH & Co. KG
🔹EEW Group SPECIAL PIPE CONSTRUCTIONS GMBH
🔹AFZ Aus- und Fortbildungszentrum Rostock GmbH
🔹GREATER ROSTOCK
🔹IHK zu Rostock
🔹University of Rostock
🔹BWTS GmbH
And together with the interested specialists of tomorrow, we look forward to other exciting companies presenting their employer qualities at the Recruiting Day.
Conference on October 17, 2025 at the Neptun Hotel in Rostock-Warnemünde:
The Baltic Sea expansion of offshore wind energy, transformer platforms, shipbuilding, grid expansion and O&M are the topics of the 2nd Offshore Connect – because the Baltic Sea expansion is picking up speed: With five offshore wind parks – OWP (over 1,325 MW) in operation (+Breitling with Nordex’s OWT), 4 OWP (coastal sea and EEZ) in planning (over 2,390 MW) and Baltic Eagle (476 MW) just commissioned, things are moving forward with Baltic Sea electricity production in Germany. It is about investments, innovations, regulatory and practical solutions, Küstenmeer MV, cooperations, 1 year Maritime Future Concept MV and much more for a resilient Baltic Sea expansion of offshore wind energy, for which shipbuilding is a very important industry.
The focus is on the development of the expansion of offshore wind energy in the Baltic Sea and regional value creation.
This year, we are looking forward to the already confirmed presentations by the Managing Director of the Offshore Wind Energy Foundation, the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency, TotalEnergies, Iberdrola Deutschland, Bachmann Monitoring & Ramboll, as well as EnBW and other relevant players. The program is currently still in development, but inquiries are ongoing.
With the EU Clean Industrial Deal and thanks to the active support of politicians for transformer platform construction in Germany, many positive developments are on the horizon. The Baltic Sea is also exciting internationally. The Baltic Offshore Grid Initiative (BOGI) sees an expansion potential of 93 gigawatts for the Baltic Sea.

We are looking forward to more supporters from and for Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, to the professionals of tomorrow, of course to sponsors, to networking together on the evening of October 16 as a warm-up for the conference on the water and to the exciting speakers on October 17 at the Neptun Hotel.
