Offshore Wind Energy, North Sea cooperation

On February 3, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark – The Trade Council, NBSO Hamburg – Netherlands Business Support Office and the Dutch trade association for wind energy NedZero Offshore Wind will bring together representatives from 3 European offshore wind countries at the Honorary Consul of the Netherlands in Hamburg in HafenCity.

Denmark, the Netherlands and Germany are driving forward the expansion of offshore wind energy.

The Dutch Honorary Consul and the Consul General of the Royal Danish Consulate General in Hamburg will welcome the offshore wind guests to HafenCity.

Afterwards, in Block I: “Regulation and Outlooks”, I am honored to be able to contribute a key note from my German perspective. I am looking forward to the other key notes from the Netherlands and Denmark and especially to the first key note by Dr. Janina Pochhammer, Taylor Wessing. Following the key notes, a panel discussion moderated by Dr. Pochhammer is planned.

After a breather, Block II will focus on the questions surrounding the “how to”. Exciting speakers and the panel discussion “Offshore Wind the future of supply & demand and the necessary framework conditions required” can also be expected in this block.

In the run-up to this event, the international North Sea Summit of the North Seas Energy Cooperation will take place in Hamburg at the end of January. This will provide an exciting basis for discussion at the 3-country wind seminar in HafenCity. I would already like to thank the organizers for this valuable initiative!

It is now about offshore wind cooperation – especially within Europe.
