{"id":1613,"date":"2024-11-27T01:46:17","date_gmt":"2024-11-27T00:46:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/offshore-kommunikation.de\/moderation-tennet-dc-grid-vision-conference\/"},"modified":"2024-11-27T02:04:31","modified_gmt":"2024-11-27T01:04:31","slug":"moderation-tennet-dc-grid-vision-conference","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/offshore-kommunikation.de\/en\/moderation-tennet-dc-grid-vision-conference\/","title":{"rendered":"Moderation TenneT DC-Grid Vision Conference"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Under my label Offshore Wind Kommunikation, I had the pleasure of guiding through the programme of the TenneT DC-Grid Vision Conference on Monday, 4 November 2024 on behalf of TenneT.<\/p>\n<p>The conference kicked off with an <strong>Opening &amp; Setting the Scene<\/strong> session titled <em>\u201cGrid Expansion between Industrial Transformation and Cost Pressure\u201d<\/em>, featuring <strong>Tim Meyerj\u00fcrgen<\/strong>, COO of TenneT, and <strong>Giles Dickson<\/strong>, CEO of WindEurope. This was followed by two insightful workshop sessions, led by representatives from <strong>TenneT, 50Hertz, TransnetBW, GE Vernova, Hitachi, Siemens Energy,<\/strong> and <strong>Consentec GmbH<\/strong>. The second part included experts from <strong>TenneT, EnBW,<\/strong> and <strong>ArcelorMittal<\/strong>, covering topics such as <strong>multi-terminal hubs, robust grid development, offshore grids for the European energy transition,<\/strong> and <strong>DC overlay grids as success factors for industrial transformation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>After a brief break, we continued with a keynote and Q&amp;A session on <em>innovation partnerships as a success model for the future of energy<\/em>, presented by <strong>Dr. Benjamin H\u00fchnerbein<\/strong>, Head of the DC MultiHub Program at TenneT, and <strong>Johannes von Schkopp<\/strong>, Head of Systems and Markets at TenneT.<\/p>\n<p>The program then featured two engaging panel discussions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Panel I<\/strong> &#8211; <em>European Cooperation: Joint Planning of Offshore and Onshore Grids Across Borders<\/em>, with <strong>Bengt Bergt, H\u00e5kon Borgen, Vera Brenzel,<\/strong> and <strong>Dr. Joyce von Marshall<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Panel II<\/strong> &#8211; <em>Robust and Affordable Planning and Implementation of Grid Expansion<\/em>, with <strong>Kerstin Andreae, Dr. Arina Freitag, Mathias Otte, Kerstin Maria Rippel, Jens Spahn,<\/strong> and <strong>Bernd Westphal<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In the closing wrap-up session with TenneT\u2019s COO and CFO, the importance of <strong>partnership-based cooperation<\/strong> and the need to implement crucial infrastructure measures was emphasized. <strong>Grid expansion<\/strong> and the development of <strong>offshore wind energy<\/strong> were highlighted as key elements for securing Germany and Europe\u2019s industrial future on the path to achieving <strong>climate neutrality by 2045<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>It was an exciting and inspiring experience to moderate this event &#8211; thank you for the opportunity, <strong>TenneT TSO GmbH<\/strong>!<\/p>\n<p>Image rights: TenneT TSO GmbH<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Under my label Offshore Wind Kommunikation, I had the pleasure of guiding through the programme of the TenneT DC-Grid Vision Conference on Monday, 4 November 2024 on behalf of TenneT.
