There’s no better way to start WindEnergy Hamburg!

Congratulations on the 10th birthday of the global onshore and offshore trade fair 🌊⚓! 🎂 It was a wonderful evening and I was very happy to see so many great wind people again. 🤝
More than 1,600 exhibiting companies and over 43,000 participants from around 100 nations at WindEnergy Hamburg and so many familiar, trusted and valued faces – I am overwhelmed by the exchange with so many ambitious wind energy professionals (on- 🌬 & offshore⚓🌊). Impressive innovations 🤩, so much expertise and know-how and so many reunions 🤗 and new contacts 🤝.
Despite the headwind, the wind community at the world’s leading trade fair WindEnergy Hamburg is strong 💪 and focused on the success of the energy transition, which is so important for all of us 👉 “Driving the energy transition together” ‼ I don’t think there will be a lack of technical solutions. The necessary speed and, above all, cross-sector cooperation for the expansion of wind energy at sea: offshore wind industry 🌊, maritime industry ⚓, transmission system operators ⚡, green hydrogen economy, steel industry, requires a common platform at national and international level. It is precisely this cooperation 🤝 that is the key 🔑 to success in order to be able to use synergies that lead to a significant acceleration⏳.
I was impressed by the young people who set themselves in motion for the recruiting part of the fair.
Nevertheless, some questions remain that urgently need to be answered.
Many thanks to Claus Ulrich Selbach and Andreas Arnheim & team and I look forward to 2️026 (September 22-25). There is still a long way to go until 2026 – but until then there will certainly be many exciting wind & hydrogen conferences.
