After the company introduction by SWAT Academy Ltd., the Managing Director and the 1st Chairwoman of mEErFrauen e.V., Heike Winkler, presented a joint thesis: “A fairer and more efficient energy future on an equal level is only possible with the active promotion of women!”
This was followed by a lively and motivated discussion of the thesis by the participants of the Senator’s network and the guests from mEErFrauen e.V.. The first chairwoman of mEErFrauen e.V. then gave a keynote speech on the topic of women in the energy transition sector with a focus on renewable energies.
Using figures, she made it clear that the industry has too few women, especially in management positions, and that the inclusion and promotion of women is not only necessary for a fairer and more efficient energy future, but also offers great economic and ecological benefits. Ganimete Scholz, 2nd Chairwoman of mEErFrauen, was involved in the discussion and emphasized that more women should network. She extended an invitation to the next event on 28.03.2025 in Neumünster.
This was followed by an open discussion with snacks and drinks, during which a lively exchange and inspiring ideas were generated at several tables on topics relating to gender equality in the context of renewable energies.
It was an all-round successful evening that showed how important it is not only to talk about the energy transition, but also about the role of women in this transformation process.
We are grateful for the invitation and look forward to future events and collaborations!
