European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) – Policy Conference: June 10 to 12, 2025

The European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) Policy Conference is Europe’s largest event on renewable energy and efficient energy use. The 19th edition of the Policy Conference will take place in a hybrid format both in Brussels and online from June 10-12, 2025, bringing together policy makers, innovators and stakeholders from the energy sector to discuss innovation and the future of sustainable energy in Europe:

THEMATIC BLOCKS

• Competitiveness and investments in clean energy (e.g. energy prices, skills, innovation, clean tech, net zero economy, clean energy infrastructure, critical raw materials and minerals, digitalisation)
• Energy affordability (e.g. empowering citizens and communities, cities, energy prices, energy poverty, housing, youth engagement)
• Renewable energy (e.g. permitting, electrification, renewable energy sources in industry, renewable energy sources in transport, heating and cooling, innovation)
• Energy efficiency (e.g. reduction of energy demand, energy performance of buildings, products, energy labelling, industry, transport, heating and cooling, heat pumps)
• Decarbonisation framework in the EU and globally (e.g. 2030 targets, 2040 climate target plan, 2050 climate neutrality objective, European Green Deal implementation, Energy Union governance, NECPs (National Energy and Climate Plans), EU-led global pledges, critical energy transition minerals, youth engagement

CALL FOR AWARDS

CATEGORIES

• Innovation: outstanding ongoing or recently completed EU-funded projects that demonstrate an original and innovative path towards the clean energy transition and yielding tangible results.
• Local Energy Action: sustainable energy actions carried out by a group of citizens, consumers, municipalities, or other stakeholders, contributing to the clean energy transition at the community or local level.
• Woman in Energy: women who lead outstanding activities that, if replicated, contribute to the advancement of the clean energy transition in Europe.
Particular attention is placed on efforts to promote the gender mainstreaming agenda and foster equality and equal opportunities in the energy sector.
Ongoing or recently concluded activities, actions, or EU-funded projects (after 31 December 2023).
• Activities carried out in at least one country within the EU or the EEA

EUSEW AWARDS

• The application should refer to an individual (not groups).
• Individuals can be nominated by another person.
• Nominees should be actively engaged in activities in the field of sustainable
energy and be residents of a country located in the EU or the EEA.
• Evaluation period: February to mid-March 2025
• Finalists informed: End of March 2025
• Production of promotion material: mid-March to end of April 2025
• Opening of the public vote: 29 April to 1 June 2025
• EUSEW Awards Ceremony: 10 June 2025

Closing date of the call: January 30, 2025

• The application should refer to an individual (not groups).
• Individuals can be nominated by another person.
• Nominees should be actively engaged in activities in the field of sustainable energy and be residents
of a country located in the EU or the EEA.
• Evaluation period: February to mid-March 2025
• Finalists informed: End of March 2025

ENERGY FAIR – INFORMATION

Between 30 and 40 stands will be divided between both venues.
• Successful applicants will receive support from the event and technical teams (i.e. for
logistics, audiovisual services, training, etc.).
• Additional networking opportunities and improved outreach to the community will be
provided.
• The call opens on 14 January 2025.

March to June 2025 – Sustainable Energy Days

• Local events held worldwide.
• Events conducted online or physically.
• Promotional toolkit support available.
• Spread the word and join the activities.
• The call for submissions opens on 11 February 2025.
